Class NewsELA/ History
At Santa Rosa Middle School, History guides the English/ Language Arts. We mix the two frequently. I will post our tasks and links in our Google Classroom. For more specific class information and an overview of the year for ELA/ History, look at our course outline. This is a living document and I will change and update it as we progress through the year. We are currently studying Africa and addressing our own misconceptions about Africa's reputation and the importance of Traditions. We have read folk tales and are working on creating our own. We are also looking at the history some of the rulers of one of the wealthiest rulers: Mansa Musa. For Students on Quarantine or Absent, please email me. In 1st and 5th period (ELA classes), there will be a specific ELA practice each day, in addition to the daily grammar work that we do, and the content.
